Hosted VoIP

Hosted VoIP

With hosted VoIP, also referred to as managed VoIP, a Voice over Internet Protocol provider hosts all VoIP servers and equipment, manages calls and routes them to the client’s telephony system.

Why It Matters to Your Customers

Hosted VoIP provides businesses with communications at a far lower price than a traditional PBX system. Because the provider maintains the equipment, it’s not necessary for the end user to purchase servers or install new infrastructure. VoIP also enables businesses to call virtually anywhere for their monthly charge — an offer that a provider can’t make when communications are provided via a PBX system. Hosted VoIP is also scaled easily, so if an end user temporarily needs additional lines, the provider can add them without adding hardware, and disconnect them when the end user no longer needs them.

Because internet calls are included in many VoIP packages, end users also have the advantages of easy conference calls and instant messaging. Additionally, VoIP service allows end users to easily reroute calls to any phone and use local numbers regardless of where a remote worker is located. VoIP also facilitates call tracking and monitoring for training or quality assurance and integrations with a customer relationship management (CRM) solution.

Why Hosted VoIP is an Opportunity

All businesses need reliable communication, and hosted VoIP allows you to offer a cost-effective solution with more features than a traditional PBX system. Bundle hosted VoIP with a Communications as a Service solution that includes collaboration capabilities to offer clients a total solution.

In addition to providing you with an additional source of recurring revenue, offering hosted VoIP enables you to add telephone service to the list of services you offer, eliminating the need for the client to use another provider. This can minimize the chance another managed service provider that offers communication services could compete with you for the client’s business.
